Reflection Time
In response to a recommendation from the Wellness Committee, we will be dedicating a short period of time each day to guided reflection. Each teacher will choose to implement the curriculum from Calm Classroom or Smiling Mind. Research indicates that dedicating a few minutes each day to quiet reflection positively impacts focus, time management and stress reduction. The development of these skills through guided reflection is well documented and programs have been implemented in many schools nationwide. At SCA, we strive to educate and develop each child mentally, spiritually, physically and socially. We believe this addition to our day will help us to better achieve that goal.
