National Junior Honor Society

St. Catherine of Alexandria School in Oak Lawn is proud to be a recognized chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. To be considered for the honor of membership, applicants must reach the five standards which include leadership, citizenship, character, service, and scholarship. The National Junior Honor Society teaches students how to become a leader, and NJHS helps students learn good citizenship to use later on in their life.  Currently, there are 58 NJHS members in grades 6-8. Members participate in various in-school and community service projects such as after school tutoring and work through Smith Village and Ronald McDonald House. They set a leadership example with their hard work and character on a daily basis.
