Reading
This week, the reading red group will be reading chapters 7-9 from their novel. The reading black group will be reviewing and reading chapters 6-7.
Due Tuesday: The reading red group will complete the assignment: How I Show Courage. The reading black group will complete the assignment: How I Can be a Great Friend. A copy of both assignments has been posted on Google Classroom.
The reading black group will complete a writing warm-up in class on Tuesday, while the red group will complete a writing warm-up in class on Wednesday.
Planning ahead: Each group will have a reading quiz the week of April 28th. The tentative date is Tuesday, April 30th. The reading red group will have a quiz on Chapters 7-9 and the reading black group will have a quiz on Chapters 6-7.
Science
A study guide has been posted on Google Classroom for our next science light reflection test. Students need to review this study guide and be ready for their light reflection science test on Wednesday.
Social Studies

Reading
On Tuesday, April 16th, both groups will have a quiz on the first three chapters of their novel. The reading red group is currently reading: Number the Stars and the reading black group is reading: Bridge to Terabithia. A study guide has been posted to Google Classroom on Thursday, April 11th.
This week, the reading red group will be reading chapters 4-6 from their novel. The reading black group will be reading chapters 4-5. Number the Stars has more chapters, but both novels have about the same amount of pages.
Both groups will complete a writing warm-up in class on Wednesday.
Science
Due Tuesday: Complete the Rainbow Informational text questions. A copy of this assignment is posted on Google Classroom.
In class on Tuesday and Wednesday, we will be completing a science lab called: Bull's-Eye! This lab is from our unit on light reflection.
Planning ahead, a study guide will be posted on Google Classroom this Thursday for our next science test. The light reflection test will be Wednesday, April 24th.
Social Studies

Vocabulary
Due Tuesday: Completed the Unit 14 workbook pages 142-147. One of the workbook pages will be taken for a grade (match the meaning, synonyms and antonyms, completing the sentence, or word association questions). I will return the books to the students on Tuesday at the end of the day. Copies of all the workbook pages are posted on Google Classroom.
Study for Friday's Unit 14 Vocabulary test. Vocabulary notes for the synonym and antonym portions of the test are posted on Google Classroom.
