The 8th grade students need to be working on Science Fair.  Please visit my ScienceFair 2019-2020 tab with the current information on what is currently due.  I currently have some Science Fair boards available for $7.00.

Oldest Child Packets went home Thursday with information about the Re-registration form for the 2020-2021 School Year, Grandfriend’s Day Invitation, Market Day, Trivia Night, and the S &T Order Form for January.


Both 8th grade groups need to complete their abstract form and safety sheet for Monday, January 13th.  Also, if you have an endorsement page, please complete this for Monday.

For homework:  Students will receive class time to work on their plant cell sheets.  If needed, finish both sheets:  Sheet One:  Color the parts of the plant cell.  Sheet Two:  Label the parts of the plant cell and write out the plant cell’s function.  There will be a test on labeling the parts of the plant cell and knowing the plant cell’s function on Thursday.

For homework:  Study for tomorrow’s Constitution quiz covering pages 11-19.

For homework:  Students will receive class time to work on their plant cell crossword.  The students need to have words going across as well as down.  The clues at the bottom of the crossword for the across and down category will come from the parts of the cell descriptions (found on their sheets from yesterday).  Study for the test labeling the parts of the plant cell and knowing the plant cell’s function on Thursday.

An oldest child packet was sent home on November 7th.  A field trip form for the Chicago Wolves game on Tuesday, December 17th was one of the items sent home.  The cost of the field trip is $18.00.  The form is due Thursday, November 21st.  If you are able to chaperone the field trip you can indicate it on the form.  Also, you can send me an email if you are able to chaperone.



This Thursday, November 14th, students can bring in $1.00 and dress down for Diabetes Awareness JDRF.

For homework:  Students are working on an Encouraging the Donation of Blood project in school.  Each group needs to have 3 visual pictures on their white construction paper with symbols/pictures relating to donating blood.  Additional work is explained on the guideline sheet/grade sheet.  A presentation sheet will also be sent home.  Students are working in groups in school and will be completing work in school.  Each group member is responsible for taking notes and presenting on Thursday.
