Academic Dishonesty

St. Catherine of Alexandria takes academic integrity seriously. Any student that is deemed to have cheated will receive a consequence, including a zero on the assignment and a detention. Academic dishonesty may be defined as copying answers on an exam or homework assignment, providing answers to a peer, changing answers on an exam after the appropriate time, plagiarism, or accessing answers in an unapproved manner, including the use of an electronic device.

Classroom expectations:

1.  Raise your hand to participate, ask questions, get out of your seats, or use the restroom.

2.  Listen attentively while your teacher and classmates are speaking.

3.  Respect each other's space and belongings.

4.  Walk in the classroom.

5.  Keep your area clean.

6.  Always be kind and try your best.

7. Be responsible for your own work and behavior.

All classwork, homework, projects, science labs, tests and quizzes will be point based.  

For all assignments turned in late, points will be deducted for each day late and a homework check will be given.  For each homework assignment, one point will be deducted from the total amount of points earned if the assignment is late.  Students have five days to turn in any late work or it is a zero grade.  

Any schoolwork completed in class will be due at the end of the period.

Students will receive a day to make up work each day that they are absent from school.  I will have a sheet with the work that the student in my homeroom needs to complete.  If a student has been absent for an extended period, I will review information that they would need to complete.   


Extra credit is offered during each trimester through Bonus Questions on Tests only.    


Grading Scale for SCA:

93-100 = A

85-92 = B

77-84 = C

69-76 = D

68-0 = F

Grades are added to PowerSchool weekly.  I will do my best to try and add grades when I have an opportunity.
