Reading

This week, both reading groups will complete an in class end of the book reflection activity.

Science

Due Wednesday, both groups will complete the ReadWorks assignment: Get Up and Go!: Breakfast Boost. A copy of this assignment has been posted on Google Classroom.

Social Studies

Last week, the students completed their notes on their U.S. West Region study guide. A copy of the notes has been posted on the S.S. Google Classroom page.

The U.S. West Region test will be Wednesday, May 29th.

Vocabulary

During Wednesday's class, the students will be completing a spelling and alphabetical order sheet.

Reading

This week, both reading groups will finish reading their novel. Due on Thursday, each group needs to complete the assignment which is a sequel to their novel. The assignment is also posted on Google Classroom.

Science

A study guide for our unit: Information Technologies was posted on Google Classroom last Thursday. Your science test on this unit will be Tuesday, May 21st.

Social Studies

In class this week, the students will be taking notes on their West Region organizer sheet. The organizer will be due on Wednesday for my homeroom and Thursday for Miss Bracamontes' students.

There will be a Social Studies test on the West Region on Wednesday, May 29th.

Vocabulary

Due Tuesday:  Complete the 3x each sheet. A copy of this assignment has been posted on Google Classroom.

Study for Thursday's Spelling test. The words for the Spelling test are posted on Google Classroom and are posted on my weblog page.

Reading

Reading Red Group: On Monday and Tuesday, please reread as needed Chapters 12-14 in your novel: Number the Stars. On Wednesday, you will be completing in class questions. You will be able to use your novel. I will break the questions up by each chapter. Once I have an opportunity to grade this in class assignment, I will post your grade on Google Classroom and PowerSchool.

Reading Black Group: On Monday and Tuesday, please reread Chapters 9-11 in your novel : Bridge to Terabithia. On Wednesday, you will also be completing in class questions and be able to use your novel. Questions will be broken up by each chapter. Once I have an opportunity to grade this in class assignment, I will post your grade on Google Classroom and PowerSchool.

Science

Due on Tuesday: Complete the Technology Informational Text questions. A copy of this assignment is posted on Google Classroom.

Planning ahead, a study guide for our unit: Information Technologies will be posted on Google Classroom on Thursday. Your science test on this unit will be Tuesday, May 21st.

One of the workbook pages will be taken for a grade (match the meaning, synonyms and antonyms, completing the sentence, or word study questions). I will return the books to the students on Tuesday at the end of the day. Copies of all the workbook pages are posted on Google Classroom.

Study for Friday's Unit 16 Vocabulary test. Notes to help study for the Unit 16 Vocabulary test are posted on Google Classroom.

Reading

This week, the reading red group will be reading chapters 12-14 from their novel. The reading black group will be reading chapters 9-11.

Each group will need to study for their reading quiz on Tuesday, May 7th. The reading red group will have a quiz on Chapters 9-11 and the reading black group will have a quiz on Chapters 7-8. A study guide is posted on Thursday.

Science

From Monday through Wednesday, the students will be completing their communications sheet from the Information Technologies Unit. The students will be working in groups about how humans will communicate in the future.

Due on Friday: Complete the Technology Informational Text questions. A copy of this assignment is posted on Google Classroom.

Social Studies

Reading

This week, the reading red group will be reading chapters 10-11 from their novel. The reading black group will be reviewing and reading chapters 8-10.

Due Tuesday: The reading red group will complete the assignment: The Importance of Friendship. The reading black group will complete the assignment: Ways I Can Express Myself. A copy of both assignments has been posted on Google Classroom.

The reading red and black groups will complete a writing warm-up in class on Wednesday.

Planning ahead: Each group will have a reading quiz on Tuesday, May 7th. The reading red group will have a quiz on Chapters 9-11 and the reading black group will have a quiz on Chapters 8-9. A study guide will be posted on Thursday.

Science

On Monday, the students will be completing the in class technology brainstorm prior knowledge sheet.

Reading

This week, the reading red group will be reading chapters 7-9 from their novel. The reading black group will be reviewing and reading chapters 6-7.

Due Tuesday: The reading red group will complete the assignment: How I Show Courage. The reading black group will complete the assignment: How I Can be a Great Friend. A copy of both assignments has been posted on Google Classroom.

The reading black group will complete a writing warm-up in class on Tuesday, while the red group will complete a writing warm-up in class on Wednesday.

Planning ahead: Each group will have a reading quiz the week of April 28th. The tentative date is Tuesday, April 30th. The reading red group will have a quiz on Chapters 7-9 and the reading black group will have a quiz on Chapters 6-7.

Science

A study guide has been posted on Google Classroom for our next science light reflection test. Students need to review this study guide and be ready for their light reflection science test on Wednesday.

Reading

On Tuesday, April 16th, both groups will have a quiz on the first three chapters of their novel. The reading red group is currently reading: Number the Stars and the reading black group is reading: Bridge to Terabithia. A study guide has been posted to Google Classroom on Thursday, April 11th.

This week, the reading red group will be reading chapters 4-6 from their novel. The reading black group will be reading chapters 4-5. Number the Stars has more chapters, but both novels have about the same amount of pages.

Both groups will complete a writing warm-up in class on Wednesday.

Science

Due Tuesday: Complete the Rainbow Informational text questions. A copy of this assignment is posted on Google Classroom.

In class on Tuesday and Wednesday, we will be completing a science lab called: Bull's-Eye! This lab is from our unit on light reflection.

Planning ahead, a study guide will be posted on Google Classroom this Thursday for our next science test. The light reflection test will be Wednesday, April 24th.
