My Name is Jillian Holesovsky and I am the First Grade Teacher in Room 114!
I started my journey to become a teacher many years ago when, I too attended St. Catherine of Alexandria School.  I loved my time at SCA and knew that when I grew up I wanted to be a teacher just like the teachers that had made an impact on my life.  I then went to Queen of Peace High School where I continued my Catholic education before I started working toward my career as an educator at Eastern Illinois University, where I graduated with a Degree in Elementary Education.  I then taught 6th grade language arts and reading in Orlando Florida before coming back to Illinois to teach in CPS for 8 years.  During this time I also worked towards and received my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Depaul University.
After my first daughter was born I stayed home and my own kiddos became my new class!  My husband and I have three daughters  who are currently in Kindergarten, First Grade, and Fourth Grade.  We live in Mount Greenwood, only a couple of blocks away from where I grew up!
After Seven years home with my daughters I was ready to come back to the classroom and as I was sitting in church one day I noticed the 1st grade opening at SCA and it felt like God knew coming back to my Alma Mater, my parish, my home, would mean so much to me!
I am a Charger through and through, and I love teaching with rigor, faith, and JOY!
