EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS are volunteers trained to distribute the Eucharist along with the celebrant at Mass. They symbolize for us that being a Christian means to serve others.
LECTORS are the men and women of our parish who proclaim the word of God from the Holy Scriptures during all the liturgies. They are specially trained in the ministry.
SACRISTANS are a group who assist in preparing the altar and church before and after liturgies.
USHERS welcome our parishioners to Mass each weekend. They assist in seating and taking up the offertory collection.
ALTAR SERVERS have the awesome responsibility of serving the Lord’s Table at all of our Eucharistic and paraliturgical celebrations.
They assist the priest through prayer and service.
THE CHILDREN’S CHOIR rehearses on Monday’s from 2:45 until 3:45 (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday). It’s members are students from SCA school and The SCA School of Religious Education.
THE ADULT CHOIR rehearses on Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m. in the meeting room in the Alexandria Center. Occasionally, rehearsal is on Sunday at 10:15 a.m.

BELL CHIMERS are 7th and 8th grade students at the present time who rehearse during school hours and play for school liturgies.
CANTORS proclaim the psalm and lead the singing at all Masses. Practices are called occasionally.
INSTRUMENTALISTS are welcome to play for any liturgy but are especially used for Christmas and Easter. We have professional and student players. Clarinet, saxophone, flute, guitar, violin.

BAPTISMAL PREPARATION challenges new parents to think about the commitment they will make to raise their children in the Catholic faith. Parents meet prior to the baptism of their children to reflect on their own faith in God and its relationship to the life of their child. Baptisms are held on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 12:00 p.m. in church.

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS (R.C.I.A.) is a scripture based program which fosters the development of a Christ centered lifestyle. It is an adult formation program which prepares one for the reception of Baptism, and Confirmation. This program is adaptable for Catholic adults who seek confirmation.
ANOINTING OF THE SICK is administered when requested. Please call the rectory.
VISITATION OF THE HOME-BOUND can be arranged by calling the Rectory at 708-425-2850. The Blessed Sacrament can be brought to the homes of the sick and elderly of our parish by our Ministers of Care to the home-bound.
LITURGY COMMITTEE is a group of men and women who oversee the planning of our liturgical celebrations as well as the various liturgies which have become traditional to the parish. They also coordinate the choir, sacristans and servers.
ST. VINCENT DEPAUL SOCIETY is a group of men and women who confidentially and respectfully assist persons & families of our parish who are in desperate need or home-bound.
