Welcome!
I am excited to continue working with your child during this 2021-2022 school year. Teaching your child is a tremendous responsibility and I will do my best to ensure that each student has a safe and motivating learning experience. However, I cannot do this without you, the parents. We are partners in the learning process.
I believe that parent-teacher relationships are necessary for maximum school success. Throughout the year I will communicate with emails, phone calls, report cards, Google Classroom, and webpage. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Classroom Expectations
Establishing good classroom discipline is essential to each child’s success, confidence, and well-being. Every child should feel that the classroom environment is safe and secure; free from all threats of physical and emotional harm. In addition, it is important that each child continue to develop self-discipline and good work habits, to resolve conflict peacefully, and to think independently. We will continue to implement the use of the Check Card/Incentive Card. If there are immediate concerns I will reach out to you by phone or email.
Grading
Assignments, rubrics, and directions are posted on Google Classroom. If your child is absent for either a short or extended period of time, it is their responsibility to check Google Classroom for assignments.
If your child has a question about a given assignment they need to reach out to me BEFORE the assignment is due. This way, we can troubleshoot a solution.
